Briefs and initial ideas

In my group of 4 individuals there is Brandon Playford, Brooke Spencer and Emily Rawles and we will be doing a video preliminary and main task as Video. We all know each other well so we will be able to communicate well and exchange ideas to further develop ideas.

Brief 



Initial idea for preliminary task:

Our initial idea for the preliminary task is the manager of "Freddos" (Brandon) is doing work and an angered customer who is a businessmen (Myself) storms into my office angered and tries to make me lower the prices of "Freddos" and we negotiate a deal.

Initial idea for main task:

Our initial idea for our main task is a modernized remake of the woman in black with a slight twist on the story, there is a Bride (Emily) and Husband (Brandon) are getting married and the bride gets killed by a Lunatic (Myself) and the killer runs away and the bride comebacks to haunt me the Killer and the killers Girlfriend (Brooke) and attempts to slay them still in her wedding dress and cut across her throat .

Camera movements

Camera Movement

This is known as a Tracking Shot and it is were a camera is on a a platform pushed along typically on rails and is used to follow a subject which is usually a person or vehicle and is normally used in a chase scene so you can follow the participants.

This is known as a Zoom and in this clip is used around 1:31 in and also every other time it appears on the character it zooms slightly and even 2:15 there is what is known as a crash zoom where the camera rapidly zooms in on a subject. and it is used to give the illusion of something moving closer or further away. If it is moving closer it normally means the object or person that is being zoomed on is significant or if it is zooming out its used to show the large scale or a scenery or used to show how big a dilemma or problem is.

Around 32 seconds in this clip you see what is known as a Crane shot and is were a camera is on a crane and is used to move away from a character and show the rest of the scene. In silent movies they were used to show the epic nature of a set or massive crowd and is commonly used to end a movie.

5 seconds into this clip you see what is known as a Panning Shot were the camera moves horizontally either left or right and is used to typically follow an object whether a person or a moving vehicle.
